No germs on the tip of a match head
The flames clean down to the last thread
Collected and catalogued
Dispensed with impunity
The black badge of savage laws
You can forget herd immunity
Thrust your dollars, clench your fists
This pill will be god’s gift
Trust our branding
You’re in good hands
Side effects and placebo truth
Black-marketed therapy
Convention slides into phony proof
Devote yourself to this remedy
Hand over fist, three convenient installments
Untested, your doubts are dismissed
Targeted ads will never relent
Thrust your dollars, clench your fists
This pill will be god’s gift
Trust our branding
You’re in good hands

Your grievances are compensation
“Blood for blood” - got your fingers in the mud
You lost your chance to taste it
Wait or waste the things you claim to love
...the things you claim to love
Take their face and wear it
Fake the taste and pay it
Late to blame, transparent
Wait or waste, disparriaged
Sadists by belief, mistakenly reprieved
Red by morning light, soaked and dead by night
Live in my shell and find your warmth
Red by morning light, soaked and dead by night
Live in my shell and find your warmth

In tearing silence you lost count of the lies that lead you where
nothing now stands between you and the end
Discarded carrion they served your purpose until they had none,
used as though lifeless before you arrived
Time has come to face all that you which have done
Nowhere else to run
Death is hunting you, and what you sought still eludes
Line up the dead and name them one by one
They served their purpose until they had none
Grasp among the ashes for some small hope but only cold earth lies below
When you find yourself alone in the places you fear most
Know you wrought with your own hands the fate that brought death close
Beneath the bones and the dirt and further still you deserve
as your body decays there is just one thought that burns
who will remember
not the broken or lost
not the dead, their distraught
Only the ones abandoned waiting here for you in the dark
In the places you fear we wait for you in the dark
Brought to your knees incapable of abandoning (the dream)
Even falling, you still reach as though it keeps you alive
Slip from reality and belief is unravelling
In denial of the fallout you had foreseen

Confinement blessed silence
So long to wait to be free of your voice
How soon you forget what brought you here
The path away feels the same
I got what I came to need, and you won't be the last of your kind
This place knows a sense of departure
Dust will reclaim possession
Withered stillness another vacant room
In this ever expanding tomb
The empty voice that promised eventual decay
Cling to light with faint but fading hope
Seclusion's tiresome pull holds sway
Held so tightly out of fear
Compelled to reach but never near
I have what I needed here, and you won’t be the last of your kind
This place knows endless departure
It echoes of dismissal
Dust will reclaim possession, awaiting no one’s return
You’ll soon forget why you came
The path away always feels the same
Closer to vanishing, but from where…
Withering stillness, another vacant room - in your ever expanding tomb
Closer to vanishing, from a vacant stare
Broken stillness, another empty room - in your vast seclusion

Two heavyweights from the emerging, underground industrial metal scene combine forces and present the “Possession Therapy” EP to kick off 2021. Rooted in discomfort, moody disgust, and aggression, each group maintains a deliberate focus towards songwriting and storytelling in this 4 track catharsis. This is the launchpad for a hailstorm of 2021 releases from all artists involved, but “Possession Therapy” is definitely the most special to each band.
